White Japanese Pine Bonsai survived Hiroshima atomic blast and it has a message for future generations.

In japan, August 6th is the day that nobody forgot because it is the day of bombing of Hiroshima and this year was 70th anniversary,
There are many many stories that was shared from those who survived the atomic blast.

This bonsai is also one of the story that survived Hiroshima atomic bomb.

 

This is now displayed at U.S. National Arboretum’s Bonsai and Penjing Museum, in Washington D.C. because in 1976 it is presented as a gift from japanese bonsai master Masaru Yamaki. Moreover this tree wasn’t known until when Yamaki’s grandsons revealed the story that it survived Hiroshima Atomic Blast.

This bonsai which survived Hiroshima atomic bomb was potted 390 years ago.

The Foundation Executive Director Johann Klodzen hope that future generation feel same aura of forgiveness and hope for the future when they are in front of this tree.
